Fifi Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Fifi, an alarm clock for iPhone. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not, delete the app.

Fifi is published by an individual established in the Republic of the Philippines. "We" and "us" mean that publisher. Email the address under Contact below for the publisher's registered name and postal address.

The app

Fifi wakes you up. It rings alarms, can read you a short morning briefing, and lets you choose or record the voice that does it. Most of what you put into it stays on your iPhone — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what does not.

You may use Fifi for your own personal use. You may not resell it, charge others for access to it, or redistribute it.

Subscriptions

Fifi requires a subscription. After you set up your first alarm, the app asks you to subscribe before you can use it. There is no free tier and no limited mode: without an active subscription the app does not ring alarms.

The subscription, Fifi Premium, is the whole app — every character, every studio voice, the morning briefing, voices you record yourself, up to twenty alarms, to-dos and the streak.

The annual plan includes a three-day free trial for new subscribers, once per Apple Account. The weekly plan has no trial. You are not charged during the trial, and cancelling before it ends costs nothing.

Billing

  • The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and in the App Store listing. Prices vary by country.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings, at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
  • The free trial is on the annual plan only, and is available once per Apple Account. Any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription before it ends.

Refunds

Apple processes the payment, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves, but if something went wrong please tell us anyway — see Contact below.

If your subscription lapses

Nothing you rely on stops working. Your alarms keep ringing, your recordings keep playing, and your briefing keeps being read — by the built-in voice rather than the studio one, and with the default three headlines.

What the briefing is, and is not

The morning briefing may include weather, news headlines and a short generated line of text. Weather comes from Apple WeatherKit, headlines from a third-party news service, and the spoken line is written by a generative language model.

That means: it can be wrong. A generated sentence may be inaccurate, a headline may be out of date, and a forecast is a forecast. Do not rely on the briefing for anything that matters — travel, safety, medical or financial decisions. It is there to make waking up pleasant, not to inform you.

Your content

Photos you choose and voice recordings you make stay on your device. We do not upload them, cannot read them, and claim no rights over them. You are responsible for having the right to use what you record — recording another person's voice is your business to have permission for, not ours.

Availability

We try to keep Fifi working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. The briefing depends on services we do not control and on your network, and it degrades to an offline briefing when they are unreachable.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we remove something a subscription paid for, you can cancel through Apple.

Liability

Fifi is provided "as is", to the fullest extent the law allows, without warranties of any kind.

Alarms depend on iOS, on your device, and on your own settings — on the alarm being set, the device being charged, and permissions being granted. We are not liable for a missed alarm, or for any loss that follows from one.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use Fifi after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Fifi. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If Fifi fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Fifi. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
